Happy Halloween 2012

Happy Halloween everyone!!

Seeing as how Isaac celebrated last week at his daycare Halloween party, he was pretty set that today wasn't Halloween.  Likewise, we didn't go out trick-or-treating tonight. But, the little guy did look pretty darn cute this morning in his newsboy hat.

However, by bedtime he was ready to put on the doggy costume again and have a few good laughs with Dad:

Fall Football

After the cool weather in Park City the last week, we happily retreated to Salt Lake City on Sunday to see "uncle" Andy's new house and enjoy some Sunday Football.  The Seahawks lost, but we all enjoyed the sunny weather.

Oh, and I chopped off my hair!  Isaac keeps asking me "are you a boy or a girl?" Apparently a pony-tail was a sure-sign of a girl.  We're working on explaining other (age-appropriate) differences too :)

 

A Snowy Halloween Party

Isaac had his Halloween party at daycare last Thursday.  He dressed up as a puppy and fully committed to the character:

 Oh, and we had a bit of snow last week!  About 4" at the most.

Fall Activities

Fall has arrived! The colors in Park City are quickly changing from greens to reds/oranges/yellows/browns and fall activities are in abundance.

Last weekend we checked out the scarecrow walk by the big white barn in town.  There are 30 or so scarecrows, all dressed up in funny and spooky costumes.

Last weekend we also went to Isaac's best friend's 3rd Birthday.  Here is Isaac and Haven, the birthday girl:

Today, Isaac and I had a date at Wheeler Farm in Salt Lake City.  They had a pumpkin patch, corn maze and wagon rides (pulled by a tractor!).  Plus, they had a lot of animals to see including goats, horses, cows, pigs and roosters.

Park City Half Marathon

Pre-Race.  Don't we both look excited?

Eric and I woke up bright and early this Saturday to participate in the Park City Half Marathon.  It was a 13.1 mile beautiful run (sun rise, hot air balloons, and running on trails for most of the race). Eric ran it in 1 hour 50 minutes (8:24 min/miles) and I ran it in 1 hour 54 minutes (8:45 min/miles). Yes, he beat me... again...  My goal was under 2 hours, so I'm happy with that!  Even though I've done a several (10?) half marathons now, it has been over 3 years, so the accomplishment still feels good. I didn't train as consistently as I have in the past (busy job, kid, summer fun, etc) but I felt great the whole run.  You could tell who the locals running the race were (not breathing hard at 7,000 feet elevation) and who the visitors were (panting hard).  Just kidding.  Kind of.

Grandma M & OG Visit Park City!

We had a great visit with Debi (Eric's Mom aka Grandma M) and Mary (aka Other Grandma or OG).  I didn't get a lot of photos from the visit, but here is a cute one from dinner out at Silver Restaurant on Main Street.  Cheers!

Last weekend we went camping with Grandma & Grandpa J at Strawberry Reservoir (about 1.5 hours from Park City).  A few photos of our adventure:
