Happy 3rd Birthday, Isaac Otto :: Part 2 (The Party)

Part 2 of Isaac's birthday celebrations was his party at the Kamas Pool.  He had 10 friends (ages 2-5) come for pizza, cupcakes and a whole lot of swimming.  We had an absolute blast!  And, it tired him out.  He fell asleep on our drive home (6pm), and slept through the night. Here are the photo highlights, and a short video of Isaac blowing out his birthday candles.

Grandpa Don Visits Park City :: March 2013

Grandpa Don visited Park City a couple of weeks ago.  As an early birthday present for Isaac, he built a gorgeous loft bed for him (with sheets, window trims and an awesome construction-themed quilt made by Grandma Debi and Mary).  The purpose of the trip was to drive down with the bed and assemble it.  And of course, a little Isaac-Grandpa time was welcomed too.

Grandpa, Eric and I took Isaac and friend Haven to the pool (and we had the pleasure of meeting her brand new little brother).  Here we are with the two little bugs (double trouble?):

And of course, while Grandpa is in town, a little riding time on the mountain!  

Swan Dive, Snowboarding & a Hair Cut

Oh, the fun we have on weekends! A few highlights from last weekend:

First (in no chronological order) -- swimming on Sunday!

Isaac is a fish (like his mom).  Check out this video of him dunking and diving (ie swan dive, aka belly flop).



Second, on Saturday (see-- no chronological order here)... Isaac went snowboarding with his best friend Haven.  It was a stormy morning, but they had a blast on the bunny hill, and in the lodge catching up.

And lastly, Isaac got a hair cut!  Just a couple cute photos from last week.

A little wet after a few 'dips' in the ocean.  I never would have guessed the water would be so warm, so we didn't have any 'swimming' gear with us. Oh well!  Swimming in his clothes, it is! And don't worry, I was SO that Mom that was applying sunscreen every 2 minutes.

Back at home... rinsing off all the sand.  He was in baby heaven: naked AND a hose!

I say this all the time, but every time we visit Carkeek park I am amazed by the beauty of where we live.  We're so lucky to have this park (practically) in our backyard!

Swimming

 

Isaac loves the water! He was a little ho-hum about it the first couple times... it was probably too early.  But he's been three times in last couple of weeks and he loves splashing and kicking in the water. This weekend he swam on Saturday at Tyaira's 4th birthday party (Breyn & Travis's daughter) and on Sunday at the local pool (he's free for 2 more weeks!).  After swimming on Sunday, we were all hungry so we stopped at Naked City Brewery for a late lunch. Here is Isaac making himself at home with some, ah-hem, kegs...

And what's with this new "cheese" smile? (he does it every time we pull out the camera...)  I guess we'll have to work on his natural smile, but in the meantime this is pretty charming.
